If you want the Republicans back in 2008 – then vote for Hillary – she’s the best fund raiser and solidifier they have. Talk about a do-nothing-Congress. You haven't seen division and gridlock until she and Bill are back in the White House. This polarizing pair have as many enemies as they do friends in Washington. The conservatives and far right are salivating at the mere thought of her nomination and all the dirty laundry they can drag out of the closet from eight years ago. Hope Monica took that dress to the cleaners!

     And for all the female Hillary supporters out there, can we talk? She may be ready on day one, but is America ready for the real Hillary Clinton? Let’s take a stroll down memory lane and look at her actions in the past – “the best predictor of future behavior”, as Dr. Phil would say. And I’m not talking about her lack of judgment in voting for the Iraq war. I’m talking about her lack of judgment concerning her husband. Remember the revealing of Bill’s long-time mistress, Jennifer Flowers? Popular theories at the time were 1) “It must have been a one-night stand. Hey, she’s beautiful and the guy’s human.”,  or 2) “She just wants publicity, maybe even blackmailing poor Bill.”, and of course 3) “It’s another Republican-financed plot to bring down Bill Clinton.”. But then, Arkansas State Troopers emerged to say they transported him on several occasions to rendezvous’ with Jennifer and others. Is a one-time marital affair forgivable? Maybe – it’s tough to overcome, but I'll give Hillary that one. But not long after his first successful bid for the Presidency, came the Paula Jones’ affair and legal nightmare, followed in his second term by the Monica Lewinski scandal. At this point, it’s pretty clear to everyone, there’s a mind-boggling pattern here – everyone’s mind but Hillary’s. Bill is nearly impeached and Hillary suffers national humility and embarrassment . . . again and again and yet again.

    Come on, Women for Hillary! Her own dignity and self-respect were values she should have stood up for then – not the least of which, would have culminated in dumping Bill. But curiously, she didn’t. Why? She certainly had her own successful career. She certainly didn't need him financially. There's only one thing that kept the Clinton's together and it wasn't their love for each other - it was their love of power. The ambitious duo knew their most precious commodity – the Clinton legacy – their political power and capital - would be divided up in divorce court like a bank account. This truly illustrates what Hillary (or Bill) will do, say, or tolerate, when it comes to maintaining their status quo – their power, which includes winning this election.    

     Though no one can say “she slept her way to the top”, - she certainly tolerated her husband’s “sleeping around” to get there. Which begs the question, what other “sacrifices” will she make?” If she sells herself out, how secure are we, the American people? Furthermore, would we consider a male candidate whose wife was known for indiscreet promiscuity and whose sexual escapades were apparent to the whole country? Think about it. Backing Hillary supports the quintessential double-standard. And what does Bill receive for his inappropriate behavior – the behavior that made that moral, scripture-quoting, decency-restoring next candidate, George Bush, so appealing? Well, that’s the most ironic part of all – another four years in the Whitehouse.

     Wake up America. Our standards for President, male or female, black or white, must be higher than Hillary or Bill Clinton. If you haven’t considered Barack Obama, please do so. We don’t need another four years of the Clintons or their politics as usual.  Give me a "hope-monger" over a "power-monger" any day.
